We were really pleased with marathonpicture.com from the point at which they first approached us. As a Race Director, what you need to know is that a photographic company is going to;
a) Be able to sort everything out themselves with the minimum of input from the Race Director.
b) Take good pictures at a variety of locations.
c) Provide the photographs quickly and at a reasonable price.
Marathon Picture did all of this for us and provided over 3,500 photographs of a 10K run.
They will be the first people that we approach next year for photographic services.

Here are some specific examples of why we were so pleased with Marathonpicture.com:
- Coverage: The photographers covered the whole event from start to finish, whereas sometimes photographers don’t bother to wait until the very end.
- Speed of availability: The photographs were online within 24 hours! Usually we would expect to be waiting up to a week or more.
- Ordering process: Searching and viewing the photos was easy, and we especially liked the large size of the previews. On some other sports photography sites, for example, the previews are so small that it isn’t always possible to tell if someone has their eyes closed or is out of focus, etc. The cropping facility was very well implemented and easy to use too!
- Prices: The photo and shipping prices were very reasonable. This meant we were happy to buy several photos rather than begrudging the price of a single print costing as much as race entry.
- Delivery: The photos were delivered quickly, arriving within 3 days of ordering, and were extremely well protected in sturdy cardboard packaging which was much better than the usual paper envelope with a thin card back or card insert.
